skyblu and I are trying this to quit smoking and so far i must say it is great. And most insurances cover it. Its been like 2 weeks for me so far and i havent onced even come close to killing anyone :) She is goin on like 23 days. So if anyone looking to quit and having a hard time this might be an option.

today is day number 47 without smoking for me (well except for one time I had about 4 puffs). I only have 3 more days of the pills to take, then I am on my own. I'll let you know how it goes when i am done taking the pills, but I would reccommend these to anyone who wants to quit.

5 days away from 2 months now and it is going good dont even think about smokes much anymore. long as they dont find any long term bad part about this medication down the road id say its the way to go if u want to quit or dont want to quit but know u need to. I was only half hearted about quitting but knew i had to. and they have worked really well for me.

This is my last week of chantex and its been crazy easy. most mornings i dont even rember to take it and all seams well. for a few weeks in the middle of taking it id get the urdge to smoke and i thought if i was only near a store id have bought smokes, they always passed quickly, but i was worried it wasnt working. now i dont even care about them at all. And it has takin me so much to just try to quit i dont think i will ever go back.

I have now been off the chantix for about a month and still not smoking but honestly still wanting a smoke every once in awhile. Not horrible cravings, but still there sometimes. I also did not take the chantix for as long as I was supposed to, I actually only took it for two months before I stopped. I would still recommend it to anyone who wants to quit, it really was amazing how much it helped.

have been off it a week or so now and its been tough. i think from what i read on the website i have linked here your supose to go another 12 weeks on it if you didnt smoke the whole time you were on it the first 12 weeks. i see now why its important to follow those instructions. so if you plan to start it and truly want to quit expect to be on it 6 months. I stopped by the pharmacy to see if i had any refils i was lucky and had one more so have 4 more weeks to keep trying but it was get more chantex or a pack of smokes :( i hope being on it longer makes the diffrance cuz its pretty tricky without it even after 12 weeks.

agree totally with witchy, if you are going to do it, do it the whole time. Have had a really hard time these last couple of weeks, even cheated a couple days. I'm back not smoking again but I really wish I had finished out the prescription

After the first 12 weeks of taking chantex i refilled the perscribtion as going from 2 mg to 0 and not smokeing wernt working for me and now im only taking 1 pill a day 1mg each and that seams to work fine and after these are gone it seams like it might be easyer to stop taking them with less of a dose. so its been almost 6 months and im still quit.

I would just like to say that I wish I could get on Chantix. I went to my doctor last week because I am finally sick of paying for smokes and I dont like they way I feel anymore. Well, she writes the script for me and I take it to my pharmacy. I come back an hour later to pick up my new drugs only to find out that my Insurance doesn't cover it. So it would be $125 if I wanted to get it out of my pocket. I told the lady to put it back on the shelf because it's cheaper for me to keep smoking then trying to quit. The really fucked up part is that my insurance company will cover Viagra. So they will let you get a hard on at the age of 70, but they wont help you get to 70 by quiting smoking. How messed up is that?!?

thats pretty messed up seams like theyd be better off paying for a few months of chantex than the medical bills you will incure treating cancer.
